Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you ("you") and Kosei ("we," "us," or "Kosei"), a wellness technology service operated from New Jersey. Contact: longevitycorner@gmail.com.

Kosei is in founding-cohort rollout. Features may change, break, or be removed as we ship improvements. Data may be migrated or temporarily unavailable during maintenance. We onboard waitlist members in waves so we can support everyone properly.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Kosei. By using it, you represent that you are 18 or older and that any data you connect or upload is your own.

Kosei is normally a paid annual membership. There is no self-serve freemium tier. Access after trial requires an active subscription unless we have granted you a written complimentary (comped) membership — for example friends-and-family beta access — which remains free for the duration we state in writing (including free for life when that is the grant).

• Membership billing: Membership is billed annually at $399/yr or monthly at $39/mo at the rate shown at checkout. Verified students receive 40% off the annual rate ($239/yr).
• 30-day trial: After cohort invite and onboarding, eligible members receive a 30-day full-access trial once they connect a wearable, lab results, or sufficient activity logs. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method is charged for the annual term.
• Complimentary access: We may grant selected invitees complimentary access (including free-for-life F&F grants). Those grants are recorded on your account entitlement and are not transferable. We may revoke complimentary access for abuse, ToS violations, or if we discontinue the product.
• Price lock: Your founding rate is locked while you remain subscribed at that tier.
• Cancellation: Cancel anytime through billing settings. Access continues through the end of your paid term; we do not provide prorated refunds except where required by law. Complimentary grants end only as described in the grant or if revoked for cause.
• Changes to pricing: New cohorts may see higher founding-ladder prices. Existing subscribers keep their locked rate while subscribed.

Kosei is for informational and self-tracking purposes only. It is not a substitute for medical care.

• Nothing in Kosei — including AI coach responses, scores, insights, biomarker explanations, experiment recommendations, or trend analyses — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a clinical opinion.
• Kosei is not a medical device. It is not cleared, approved, or registered with the FDA, EMA, MHRA, or any other regulatory body.
• Always consult a licensed healthcare professional before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment, medication, supplement, exercise program, diet, or sleep protocol.
• If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. Do not use Kosei for emergencies.
• Lab values displayed reflect what you upload. Kosei does not replace clinical interpretation by a qualified provider.
• Lab reference ranges and longevity targets shown in Kosei are educational summaries of published guidelines and research. They are not personalized medical orders, diagnosis thresholds, or a substitute for clinician-set goals. Optimal targets vary by risk tier, age, sex, pregnancy, medications, and clinical context — discuss your numbers with a licensed healthcare professional before changing treatment or lifestyle based on them.
• Brand names (for example supplement product lines) may appear in logging catalogs for convenience. Brand presence does not mean Kosei endorses that brand as a clinical authority for lab targets or medical care.

Kosei uses third-party AI models to generate coaching responses, summaries, parsed event data, and insights. AI models can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or biased outputs — even when they sound confident.

• Treat AI outputs as a starting point for your own thinking, not as conclusions.
• Verify any health-relevant claim with a qualified professional or primary source.
• Kosei attempts to cite sources where possible; cited sources should be reviewed directly.
• We are not responsible for actions you take based on AI outputs.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You retain ownership of all raw health data you upload, connect, or generate inside Kosei. We claim no ownership over your raw data.

How your data is collected, secured, and (only with your explicit consent) considered for research is described in the Privacy Policy and Security page, which are incorporated into these Terms.

Kosei computes scores, indices, and derived insights for your account. Your raw health data remains yours. Kosei's proprietary scoring logic — including the Kosei Health Index, dimension weights, organ-system models, and composite algorithms — is owned by Kosei.

Where scores incorporate documented, peer-reviewed public formulas (for example, PhenoAge-style biological age estimates), we document the methodology in-app and cite primary literature. We do not claim ownership of those published methods — only our implementation, weighting, and presentation.

Kosei code, design, and brand assets are our intellectual property, except for open-source components used under their respective licenses and third-party trademarks (which belong to their owners). You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Kosei in accordance with these Terms.

By opting in to research tiers (described in the Privacy Policy), you grant a narrow license to use de-identified versions of your data solely for the purposes described there.

When you connect a third-party service, you authorize Kosei to receive data from that service via its official API or supported import path. Your use of each third-party service remains governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy.

• Wearables (direct OAuth): WHOOP, Withings, Oura, Garmin.
• Wearables (via platform bridge): Fitbit; Samsung Health and Galaxy Watch via Google Health Connect on Android; data routed through Apple Health on iOS where applicable.
• Health platforms: Apple Health (HealthKit live sync on iOS; export upload on web), Google Health Connect (Android), Google Fit (one-time import).
• Calendar (read-only): Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft 365.
• Labs and files you provide: PDF, image, and CSV uploads; epigenetic reports (such as TruAge or SymphonyAge) when you upload them.
• Self-reported data: Meals, workouts, supplements, symptoms, experiments, and manual entries.

We continuously evaluate additional data sources based on scientific utility, security review, and member demand. Supported integrations may expand or change; connecting any source always requires your explicit authorization.

• We do not share raw third-party data with anyone, including researchers.
• Disconnecting a service stops new data from flowing in. Already-synced data stays until you delete it.
• If a third-party service changes or revokes API access, related features may stop working.

You agree not to:

• Use Kosei to provide medical advice or services to others.
• Upload or connect data for any person other than yourself.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, beyond what is permitted by law.
• Use Kosei to harass, defraud, or harm any person.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or interfere with the operation of Kosei.
• Use Kosei to violate any applicable law or regulation, or any third-party rights.

Kosei is provided "as is" and "as available."

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that Kosei will meet your requirements, that data will be accurate or complete, or that the service will be free of bugs or interruptions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kosei will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or health outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of Kosei — even if advised of the possibility.

For any direct damages, total cumulative liability is limited to the membership fees you paid to Kosei in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold Kosei harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of Kosei, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right or applicable law.

You may stop using Kosei and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if continued operation creates legal or security risk, or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your right to use Kosei ends immediately. Data deletion is governed by the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms as Kosei evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app with a new "Effective" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If a material change expands how your data may be used, the Privacy Policy's fresh-opt-in rule applies.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Kosei will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under your local law.

• If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
• You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them as part of a successor entity, sale, or reorganization.
• These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Kosei regarding the service.
